How to change download and install driver directory






















By default, Steam uses the default install directory. i.e, the C drive to download and install the games. The problem with this is that most Windows users will not have enough space in the C drive to install multiple games. This is especially true for AAA titles which often exceed 50 GB GB limits. Thankfully, Steam offers a simple solution. Obviously I'm not trying to change the target for the drivers themselves which belong where they belong, I'm referring to the programs and files that are installed in C:\Program Files\ and C:\Program Files (x86). I deleted the scheduled tasks and deleted a few SERVICES and moved them manually, then created a junction to the default install.


In Windows 10, this matching process happens in two phases. First, Windows 10 installs the best matching driver in the driver store, allowing the device to begin operation quickly. After that driver is installed, Windows 10 also: Downloads any matching driver packages from Windows Update and puts them in the driver store. When you install a new program on your computer, it will be installed to a default installation location. This folder is usually in drive C. If you are using a bit Windows 10, that default installation location should be C:\Program Files(x86).If it is a bit Windows 10, that folder should be C:\Program Files.. As time goes by, more and more programs will be installed on drive C your C. Select the driver you want to update, and click Download and install button to automatically download and install the newer driver on your PC. Another way to update drivers via Device Manager. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager. Find the target device you want to update its driver. Right-click the device and select Update driver.


4. Download and install Chrome. Now go to the Chrome website and download and install Chrome as you normally do. The Chrome application will be installed in the default location in the system drive, but its data folder will be made in the new location that you created in a different drive. Select the driver you want to update, and click Download and install button to automatically download and install the newer driver on your PC. Another way to update drivers via Device Manager. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager. Find the target device you want to update its driver. Right-click the device and select Update driver. If the directory contains executable files or a setup file, you can install the driver using an executable. If the directory bltadwin.ru files, you can install the driver using an inf or use the "have disk" option during the install. If the drivers are compressed into bltadwin.ru file, you need to uncompress the file.
